Huawei Telekomünikasyon Dış Tic. Ltd. Şti. (“Huawei”) processes employee candidates’ personal data as the data controller. This notice contains information about how we process the personal data we collect in the application, selection and evaluation processes.
Purposes and Legal Grounds of Processing Personal Data
We perform the processing based on the legal ground of “to process personal data in order to establish, exercise or protect a right” specified in Article 5/2-e of the Personal Data Protection Law (the “Law”), for the purpose of receiving your job application request and conducting meetings and job interviews with you.
Your personal data is also processed for the purposes of evaluating your suitability with the relevant position, job, and Huawei Human Resources policies and, if you are found suitable, to make a job offer to you. Within this scope, we perform the processing based on the legal ground of “to process personal data in order to establish or perform a contract” specified in Article 5/2-c of the Law.
We perform the processing based on the legal ground of “to process personal data for our legitimate interests provided that this processing shall not violate the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject” specified in Article 5/2-f of the Law, for the purposes of contacting with you, conducting candidate reference checks, conducting candidate evaluation processes such as personality inventory and talent tests, conducting Huawei Human Resources policies and recruitment processes, and examining and auditing our business activities.
We ask for explicit consent to process disability information of disabled candidates. We also process disability information based on the explicit consent to fulfill our obligations regarding the employment of disabled employees and to carry out operational processes in line with the requests and needs of disabled candidates.
Processed Personal Data
The identity, contact, professional experience, and other information about the selection and evaluation process (information on the application and recruitment process including CV, letter of intent, interview notes, candidate evaluations, work preferences, information about the kinsmen working at Huawei) of candidates applying for a position at Huawei are processed. In employment processes for the disabled employees, if any, your disability status information is also processed.
Transfer of Personal Data
To fulfill the purposes and based on the legal grounds under the title of "Purposes and Legal Grounds of Processing Personal Data", your personal data is shared with service providers, business partners, and Huawei group companies within the country or outside the country. Your personal data will also be shared with authorized institutions and organizations in case of the need to provide information to these institutions (for example, sharing with the judicial authorities due to the emergence of a dispute). We comply with the rules established for transferring personal data specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law while transferring your personal data to third parties.
Methods and Legal Grounds of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is collected through physical environments such as job meetings/interviews, through electronic media such as recruitment portals and professional business networks, and communications conducted through telephone and e-mail.
While collecting your personal data, we perform the processing based on the legal grounds of to process personal data in order to establish, exercise or protect a right, to process personal data in order to establish or perform a contract, and to process personal data for our legitimate interests. In case at least one of the legal grounds specified in the Law does not exist, your explicit consent is asked for your personal data to be processed.
Exercise of Rights Regarding Personal Data
Article 11 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data regulates the rights of the data subjects (natural persons whose personal data is processed) . You may use the following methods to exercise your rights and to submit your requests regarding this Article to Huawei:
